Registration for our regular 12-week open-enrollment Fall class session for youth 5th & 6th, youth 7th through 12th, and adults is now CLOSED. Please join us for a new session starting in January!

Our current schedule is:
5th & 6th grade open enrollment class – Monday and Wednesday, 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.
7th through 12th grades –
Monday and Wednesday, 5:40 - 6:40 p.m.
Adults –
Monday and Wednesday, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
All classes begin Monday, September 25th, and conclude on Wednesday, December 13th (our evening concert).

Our open enrollment classes (including both youth and adult) follow a calendar of one 12-week fall session, and two 10-week sessions in winter and spring. These participants re-register and enroll at the beginning of each session.

Please read the following carefully.
The invitation system described is the result of our needing to have some artistic control over who is placed in what ensembles, but at a time when we are still too small to have separate preperatory classes:

Our open enrollment youth ensemble for 7th – 12th graders currently includes members of our "Pan Wizards" youth performing ensemble, but students in this class are not considered Pan Wizards until an invitation has been extended to join this group, which will eventually be a separate group. Until invited to join the Pan Wizards, these students
re-register and enroll at the beginning of each session that they wish to attend.

Similarly, our adult ensemble currently includes members of our "Mystical Steel" adult performing ensemble, but participants in this class are not considered regular members of Mystical Steel until an invitation has been extended to join this group, which will eventually be a separate group. Until invited to join Mystical Steel, these participants re-register and enroll at the beginning of each session that they wish to attend.

Pan Wizards and Mystical Steel are ongoing, year-round, and so tuition payment is monthly rather than in sessions.

In our youth program, Sliding Scale/Tuition Assistance, and Full Waiver is available for qualifying families with lesser ability to pay. We also offer a 15% FAMILY DISCOUNT for families with more than one participant in the youth program. We want to reduce or eliminate financial barriers to participation in our youth program as much as we possibly can. Click HERE to inquire about our sliding scale and family discount.

If you have a child with developmental or learning disabilities, please read our approach to including the developmentally disabled before proceeding with registration.

The location for our classes is Edmonds Adventist Church,  8625 - 196th St SW, Edmonds, WA. This location is subject to change, with reasonable notice. (Steel Magic Northwest is not affiliated in any way with the Adventist Church; we simply rent space from them).

For parents of new youth participants, we provide a small packet of informational documents, releases, etc. The information is important and useful, and we do need the release forms returned in a timely manner. Thank you for addressing this need.

The rest of our schedule is listed in the "Our Schedule" tab on the left menu of our home page.

Each class is limited to 24 participants, and the open enrollment classes are available on a first-come, first served basis. Please register as early as you can, as this not only secures your place in the class, but also helps us plan in these early stages of our organization.
